The Nebraska-Wisconsin rivalry dates all the way back to 1901, when the Badgers blanked the Cornhuskers 18-0. The teams would take a 64-year hiatus before Nebraska rolled off wins in 1965, 1966 and 1973. The Badgers would win in 1974 and the teams would wait decades until playing again, and in 2011 it would be with both now members of The Big Ten Conference. In 2014 the teams began playing for The Freedom Trophy. Wisconsin currently holds a 13-4 edge in the series.

The Freedom Trophy depicts the teams’ two iconic stadiums: Camp Randall in Madison and Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, on a wooden base. Both stadiums are under an American flag in a tribute to those who have served the United States. Camp Randall was a Civil War training site, and Memorial Stadium was built as a monument to service men and women post-World War I.

Our replica has a base of 11x11 and stands 17 inches tall from bottom of the base to the top of the flagpole. It weighs 9 ½ lbs.
